Piano and Keyboard Lessons
Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music. Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, our teachers are happy to help you be the pianist you want to be. Our piano staff will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique, theory but will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not have to have a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice for the first 6 months. Our piano teachers have warm personalities and enjoying sharing their love for the piano with you.
Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on basic mechanics, chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of guitar method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
Our drum instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other styles. Drum language can be complex and our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of technical exercises designed to improve your speed and comfort. All drummers bring in their favorite drum parts to learn in their lessons and theory is encouraged. We have many drum students who play in local bands; be it in rock clubs or their local churches.
Our voice teachers primarily focus on popular music. If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, then we have the right voice teachers for you. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite recording artists, or if they prefer, to develop their own unique voice. We not only teach singers, but also local TV and radio personalities who want to enhance their speaking voices.
Violin, Fiddle, Viola, and Cello Lessons
Our strings program offers private instruction in violin, viola or cello. Our private violin lessons start as young as age 5. Due to the size of the instrument, most cello lessons start at 10 years of age or older. We have students of all ages from adults to children. For younger children we highly encourage a parent to sit in on the lesson to help the student at home with things such as posture and hand positioning. We supplement our private violin, viola and cello lessons with fun ensembles or fiddling groups that play in our recitals.

Music Classes for Preschoolers engineered by Music FunTime is an innovative, structured, and progressive curriculum derived from Johns-Hopkins Research exploring the magical connection between math & science through music for children newborn thru 7 years of age. Children learn to read music notation, rhythms and symbols, and play the instruments of their choosing.
Through small preschool, kindergarten & early elementary group music classes in a classroom atmosphere, children use musical crafts, worksheets, games and instruments in a fun exciting way to explore and nurture a strong music foundation which becomes a way of life, thus, gaining all the benefits of uniting both hemispheres of the brain.
Music is considered a right brain activity, while Math is a left brain activity. When combined, the child is holistically engaged not only in the realm of thinking, but in all the other domains of social, emotional, creative, language and physical development. Together they make a complete developmental package.
Parents are constantly amazed at how their children develop these skills so quickly. Children become more confident, communicative and attentive, in addition to a growing appetite and appreciation for various types of music and musical instruments. You and your child will look forward to continuing on the journey of discovery and learning with Music FunTime.
