Modern Ensemble Music started as Director Daniel Brett’s dream to bring fresh and fun, high
quality music education to the Eastern Shore. Since opening in the Main Street location in
2009, Modern Ensemble Music has flourished, continually expanding the programs and classes
offered to the local community.
With a variety of ensemble classes, Modern Ensemble Music has the opportunity to teach
students the inner dynamics of playing with other musicians, and also provide an outlet for
students to express their creativity. Our seasoned teachers are also highly qualified performers,
and strive to help students bridge the gap that exists between the lesson room and the stage.
Too many people take music lessons, only to abandon the pursuit later in life. Other people
always dream of playing a certain instrument, and quickly become disenchanted when their
teacher can‘t teach a style of music that interests them. There’s a saying that states if you aren’t
having fun playing music, you aren’t doing it right. Director Brett has always believed that if a
student isn’t having fun learning to play music, then the teacher isn't teaching it correctly.
Music should be fun, and moreover it should be a group activity. Modern Ensemble Music
provide students with a fresh and fun approach to music education that encourages students to
play music together.

Prices are as follows:
- 30 Minute Lesson: $80/month
- 30 Minute Lesson + Class/Ensemble: $110/month
- 1 Hour Lesson: $150/month
- 1 Hour + Class/Ensemble: $180/month
(Bi-weekly Lessons have limited availability and are subject to the instructor’s schedule.)
